I always try and throw in a few feminine characters in my robot stories.  I don’t do it because I think there’s some potential for “robot sex” or even some kind of plausible gender difference in any robot story, but because readers identify them easily.  This “gal” is psychotic, though, and a total thug.

I love taking real things and turning them into robots, especially people.  There’s plenty of aspects of human anatomy that lend themselves to becoming mechanical.  Today I really felt like going after back muscles.  This is little more than a  sketch, but I like it.

Okay, so this is more of a vehicle/mech than a robot, but, what if it had an autopilot?  It could still fall in the realm of “robot”.  I’ve been having the urge to push forward on some of the designs for my thesis lately, for which I need lots of robots and powered environmental suits.
