Here’s another lil’ guy that was quick to draw, which is all I can do with my current schedule. He’s a boxer. Get it? Anyway… I did this one with some disposable Copic pens. They’re a little more clunky than the Rapidographs, but still lay down a good line.

My time to draw robot-a-day seems to dwindle every day. So, here’s a little robot using the ever-so-precise-but-messy-to-use Rapidograph pens. I call him “Stumpy”.

I wanted to draw a robot based on some home hardware. You know, nuts, bolts, screws, and other fun metallic stuff. I think this sketch is a good start.
I realize I’ve been kind of leaving my blog readers a little high and dry lately, and I apologize. I’m going to try and pick up the pace here soon. My class work and freelance work have become very time-consuming, but I’m trying to find a happy place while working 12+ hours a day. In the meantime, enjoy this sketch!
Just playing around with different ink brands, brushes, Frisket, and a toothbrush with white ink on it. I have all the above materials all over my hands now. Important discovery: turpenoid removes Frisket from otherwise-ruined brushes!

After Squiddy yesterday, I thought I’d try and refine him (or the idea) a little more. Unfortunately, I didn’t get far anough along to ink in some fun, cool details, but I like where’s he/she/it is going.
