And so I begin a series of sketches to find a new form for another old character. This guy has always given me a lot of trouble. I want him to be short and agile, but with specific mechanic pieces coming off of him. The pieces are what cause me trouble with the design. They end up making him look too bulky and awkward. So, I’m trying to start with a shape and address the detail afterward. Here’s what I’ve got so far.
