This is a bobcat with elephant skin. Bam.

I love cats.  I always wanted a pet lion.  But you and I both know that’s impossible.  You could probably raise one from a cub, and they might not hurt you then and really care about you, but as soon as they grow up their poop would be really big and gross.

Here’s the finished product.  I really got into this assignment and had a lot of fun.

I’m trying to come up with a dog as it would exist on Mars.  This is what I’ve got so far.  I’m pretty happy with it!

Going Ape

Got a Creature Design class this semester.  It’s kicking my ass!  I’ve little experience drawing animals, and since it’s a summer semester, I’m having to try and learn twice as fast.  Also, the assignments are pretty demanding.  Whew!

No hippie chicks!

Well, it didn’t make it into the finalists for the poster competition, but I learned a lot doing this and it’s the most-colorful thing in my portfolio.

Is this one really part of this series?

What I was trying to go for with these was a theme of “movie monsters” masks on poor, innocent babies.  I don’t really know, though, that this is from a particular movie.  Has anyone seen this one from a movie or did I just make it up?
